McCoy still seeking winner 200

Tony McCoy had a day to forget at Newbury today as three falls left the champion with a cut on the back of his head and still seeking that elusive 200th winner of the season. The record-breaking jockey was hoping to reach the double-century today and in doing so break his own record for the quickest 200 but despite riding several well-fancied horses, McCoy ended the day with a tally of three fallers and one second place from his five rides.

After receiving a kick to the back of his head when Baclama came down in the TFM Cyntergy Handicap Chase, McCoy missed his last ride to receive medical attention but still hopes he will be fit enough to ride at Wincanton tomorrow and so have a second chance to break his own record.
