RTÉ to show Ireland playoff away leg live

RTÉ has secured the rights to show live coverage of Ireland's World Cup away leg play-off against Iran. The match, which will be played on Thursday 15 November in Tehran, will be shown on Network 2 at approximately 1.30pm. The programme will be presented by Bill O'Herlihy, with analysis from John Giles, Eamon Dunphy and Liam Brady. Match commentary will be provided by George Hamilton and Jim Beglin.

This means that RTÉ will show full live coverage of both legs of the crucial play-off. Coverage of Saturday's first leg at Lansdowne Road will start at 5pm on Network 2. RTÉ Radio One will also be broadcasting live commentary on both games, which overseas supporters can listen to on the RTÉ website. Minute-by-minute matchtrackers will also be available here on RTÉ Sport Online.
