Moyes rejects Leicester rumours
Thursday, 4 October 2001 13:37Preston manager David Moyes has rejected reports that he will apply for the vacant manager's job at Leicester City. Local newspapers had linked the North End boss with a move to Filbert Street following Peter Taylor's sacking on Monday morning.
Highly rated Moyes has emphasised his intentions to take Preston into the Premiership. "I signed a new contract in the summer and I enjoy working with Preston North End. I want to work in the Premier League, but I want to do that with Preston. I enjoy working with and improving the players. I wouldn't consider applying for the job at Leicester City," he said.
