Ice Hockey: Stewart back with Belfast Giants

Canadian defenceman Rob Stewart has committed himself to another year with Belfast Giants and pledged to end his career in Northern Ireland. The 35-year-old, who lifted the Sekonda Superleague title with Bracknell Bees two seasons ago, played in every league game for the Giants in their debut season, scoring 22 points for coach Dave Whistle's side.

"I'm very happy to be returning to Belfast and setting up shop for another year," he said. "I'm not getting any younger but I reckon if I can stay fit and healthy I've got another two or three seasons left in me at this level and I'd like to think I can spend them playing in Belfast."
