Drivers impressed with Mondello Park

The Drivers and teams of the BTCC expressed their satisfaction with Mondello Park at the BTCC Championships last weekend as the high profile International series made it's first visit to a circuit outside the UK.

Following two years planning, the BTCC were impressed with the facilities at Mondello Park saying that the circuit is an example to many of the UK venues that the championship currently visits. Speaking following his production class victory in the sprint race, round nine of the www.theAA.com MSA British Touring Car Championship, James Kaye said "Mondello Park has just got better since I was last here. The circuit is really interesting and it keeps your attention for the entire lap".

"The circuit flows really nicely and it is very interesting and technically challenging," Double Touring Class victor Yvan Muller said of his Mondello experience.

The successful running of such a high profile International championship at Mondello completes the Kildare venue's transition onto the International Motorsport stage. The favourable comments that continue to pour in from competitors, teams and spectators alike should ensure that top class Motorsport at Mondello Park is definitely here to stay.
