Hartson's future uncertain

John Hartson may be on his way out of relegated Coventry City and back in the Premiership by the start of next season. The Welsh international, who signed for Coventry mid-way through last season and almost saved the club from the drop with six goals in his last 12 matches, has attracted interest from a number of clubs eager to snatch up the former Arsenal striker.

"The truth is I honestly don't know what's going to happen about my future, but I've heard four or five clubs have expressed interest in me," explained Hartson. "Over the summer I might have a lot of hard thinking to do, I might have a chat with Gordon Strachan, my club manager. I'm really happy at Coventry and Gordon has been fantastic for me. Equally, I obviously want to play at as high a standard as possible. If a club do make a big offer for me, perhaps it will test Coventry's resolve as to whether they really want to turn down that sort of money for me," he added.

It is believed Coventry will ask for about £15m for the Welsh star and Leicester, Middlesbrough and Celtic are said to be most interested in signing the striker.
