Mixed fortunes for Keohane at Silverstone

Cork driver Michael Keohane, driving with the Irish registered Meritus Team, finished second in the opening round of the British Formula 3 Scholarship Class at Silverstone after starting from 10th place. He finished behind Ulsterman Matt Gilmore, who also won the second race of the day. Unfortunately twenty-year-old Keohane spun off while leading race two, which handed a second victory to his Ulster rival.
