GAA: Wexford appoint special five-man committee

The Wexford County Board have selected a special panel to find a suitable replacement for Joachim Kelly following his resignation last month. The five-man committee consists of Liam Griffin, Rory Kinsella, John Conran, Martin Quigley and Dickie Murphy. The move was taken to prevent a repeat of last summer's fiasco when they struggled to find a manager.

It is seen as a step in the right direction for Wexford hurling as they try to stop the rot, which has seen them go from serious All-Ireland challengers to Leinster Championship underdogs. Former star George O'Connor was quick to approve the move saying, "This is definitely the way to go. All these men have been involved at the top level, they have a great track record and know exactly what's needed."
