Soccer: Sutton to leave Chelsea

Chris Sutton was notable by his absence as Chelsea celebrated their FA Cup final victory with an open-topped bus tour through west London. The striker's Stamford Bridge career has reached its low point after a season of misery and frustration, and Chelsea are now expected to accept a big loss in order to sell the player they bought for £10million from Blackburn.

But, while Sutton seems on his way out, he was today reported to have flown to Florida while his team-mates celebrated their 1-0 victory over Aston Villa, a stream of other Chelsea players have pledged their future to the club. Roberto di Matteo, scorer for a second time in an FA Cup final, Tore Andre Flo, Gianfranco Zola, Frank Leboeuf and Gustavo Poyet have all told manager Gianluca Vialli they want to stay.
