Squash: Nicol lifts Irish Open title

Scotland's World Number One Peter Nicol beat World Number Two Jonathon Power of Canada in straight sets to win the final of the Millennium Irish Open in Dublin yesterday. The 15-12, 15-12, 15-9 victory was the pair's first meeting since the final of the British Open in Aberdeen, where the Scot was forced to concede his title to Power after falling ill with food poisoning. Nicol's win at the Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club reduces Power's career `head-to-head' victories over him to 10-8.
