Squash: Lady luck deserts Irish

In squash all three Irish players involved in the first qualifying round for the Nivea for Men Irish Open at Fitzwilliam were beaten yesterday. The best performance came from Patrick Foster who lost 15/ 10 in the final game against the world number 20 Billy Haddrell from Australia. John Rooney lost to world number 19 Joseph Kneipp, also from Australia, in straight games while Brian O'Hora went down to Egypt's world number 21 Omar El Borolossy, again in straight games.
