Soccer: Bebeto for Sunderland?

Brazilian World Cup star Bebeto is set to train with Sunderland next week with a view to signing a one-year deal. Peter Reid has confirmed his interest in the 33-year-old striker who, according to the Sunderland manager, must firstly prove he has the fitness, temperament and sharpness to play in the Premiership. Bebeto, a World Cup winner in 1994, has recently been playing club football in Mexico. "I understand that Bebeto is currently in the country and if that's the case, he will train with us next week," said Reid. "There is a possibility of him coming to Sunderland."
