Boxing: British Board of Control placed in administration

The British Boxing Board of Control was today placed into administration in a bid to ensure its long-term survival as the regulatory body of the sport in Britain. The development comes after Michael Watson won his recent high profile case against the Board, which is currently the subject of an appeal. The announcement was delivered in the High Court of Justice in the Strand with Ladislav Hornan and Andrew Andronikou from national accountancy group Hacker Young and Partners appointed as joint administrators.
