Flying rocket in outer space

HOW TO

Materials needed:
Coloured card
Pipe Cleaners
Lollipop Sticks
Dark Blue Paint
Glitter
Cardboard

1 Draw the rocket shape on coloured card and cut it out. Then paint it.

2 Add circles for windows.
3 The ‘flames’ for rocket are made from crinkled pipe cleaners with stars stuck down the length of the pipe cleaners.

4 Rocket is stuck onto a handle. You can use a lollipop stick/long piece of cardboard which you can paint dark blue.
5 To make the outer space use dark blue paper with different coloured circles and spirals of glitter.
6 Cut out star shapes and sprinkle glitter over them to make twinkly stars.

7 Attach a cardboard frame around the sky, gluing three sides only and leaving the bottom unglued.
8 Slide the rocket up through the unglued bottom of the frame creating an interactive flying rocket. You can move the rocket side to side and up and down through outer space.
