Rose of Tralee International Festival 2007Connecting the global Irish community in a celebration of shared culture and heritage
Celebrating 48 years, the Rose of Tralee International Festival is Ireland’s premier popular festival. The Festival celebrates the shared heritage of Irish People at home and abroad, and the Rose of Tralee brand is firmly established in Irish communities both on the island of Ireland and overseas. This annual event has strong family values and celebrates the ever changing role of women in society.
Incorporating 33 centres from the island of Ireland and 25 overseas centres from locations such as North America, Great Britain, Europe, Dubai, Australia and New Zealand the Festival continues to grow and new overseas centres are continuously being developed.
As well as family entertainment the Festival incorporates the Rose of Tralee International Selection, which is the central feature and is televised live on RTÉ One on Monday 20th and Tuesday 21st August 2007 from 8.00pm each night. The Selection will also be streamed live around the world on RTÉ.ie
This year's International Festival is bursting with entertainment for all the family including events such as the International Gala Rose Ball, the Rose Parade, the Newbridge Silverware Fashion Show, and live television Selection Nights hosted by Ray D'Arcy from the Festival Dome, plus magnificent firework displays
and marching bands.
