Beidh Altan, Steve Cooney, Breandán Begley, Fidil agus Mairéad agus Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill le cloisteáil ar an gclár inniu leis an scoil a sheoladh go hoifigiúil. Ansin tráthnóna beidh ceolchoirm mhór ag tosú ag 8pm leis na ceoltóirí sin agus tuilleadh nach iad. I mbliana beidh an 18ú Scoil Gheimhridh Frankie Kennedy ar siúl ó 27 Nollaig go 2 Eanáir i nGaoth Dobhair. Tagann scoth na gceoltóirí chun na scoile gach bliain, agus tagann foghlaimeoirí agus lucht an cheoil ó i bhfad is i gcéin le bheith i láthair.

The Frankie Kennedy Winter School will be officially launched on Rónán Beo @3 on Tues 29 Nov, and the programme will be broadcast live from the Grand Social in Dublin.

Altan, Steve Cooney, Breandán Begley, Fidil, Beoga and Mairéad and Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill are some of the stellar musical acts you can expect to hear on the programme today brought to you live from The Grand Social in the heart of the capital city. Then later this evening there will be a public concert featuring those musicians and more as part of the launch event. This year the 18th Frankie Kennedy winter School will run from 27 Dec to 2 Jan, bringing musicians and followers from all around the world to Gaoth Dobhair in northwest Donegal, and listeners can get a taste of the type of music and atmosphere they can expect from the school on today's programme.
