Sceideal an Fhómhair 2013

Beidh tús á chur le sceideal an fhómhair ar RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta ar 9 Meán Fómhair. Fillfidh cuid de phríomhchláracha na seirbhíse, ina measc Rónán Beo @3 agus Cormac ag a Cúig, agus beidh cláracha nua sa sceideal freisin, ina measc sraith nua le ceoltóirí óga ó gach cearn den tír.

Beidh ceoltóirí óga ó cheann ceann na tíre le cloisteáil sa tsraith nua Mol an Óige Dé Domhnaigh 6.30pm a bheidh á cur i láthair ag Neansaí Ní Choisdealbha. Chuaigh Neansaí go craobhacha éagsúla de Chomhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann, áit ar casadh an chéad ghlún eile de cheoltóirí traidisiúnta na tíre uirthi.

Cuirfear fáilte chroíúil ar ais roimh Timpeall an Tí, an clár ceoil le Tomás Mistéal. Ceol traidisiúnta den scoth ó choirmeacha, ó fhéilte agus ó sheisiúin fud fad Chúige Mumhan a bheidh le cloisteáil ann, Dé Sathairn 7 pm.

Beidh sraith nua den chlár Gaol Gairid le cloisteáil san fhómhair, clár comhrá le beirt chara nó beirt ghaolta a bhfuil dlúthcheangal eatarthu. Beidh Eamon Ó Cuív agus a mhac Eamon Óg, an scríbhneoir agus an file Gabriel Rosentock agus a mhac Tristan, agus na craoltóirí Ian Lee agus Brian Mullen ina measc siúd a bheidh le cloisteáil. Foireann Bhaile Átha Cliath a chuirfidh na cláracha i láthair.

Stair agus seanchas leithinis an Mhuirthead in iarthuaisceart Mhaigh Eo a bheidh faoi chaibidil sa tsraith An Leithinis Dé Sathairn 6.30 pm. Seán Ó Héalaí a chuirfidh an clár i láthair, agus is é an staraí áitiúil Pádraig S. Ó Murchú an treoraí a bheidh aige. Léiriú a fuair maoiniú ón scéim Fuaim agus Fís, Údarás Craolacháin na hÉireann.

Beidh Splancscéalta ag tosú i mí Dheireadh Fómhair, sraith de shaothar nua splancfhicsin ó liosta le háireamh scríbhneoirí, orthu sin Máire Mhac an tSaoi, Biddy Jenkinson, Alan Titley, Micheál Ó Conghaile agus Manchán Magan.

Mar chuid de Sheachtain Mhór an Cheoil in RTÉ ó 30 Meán Fómhair go 4 Deireadh Fómhair, beidh Rónán Beo @3 á chraoladh beo ón bhFaiche Mhór i gcathair na dTreabh Dé Céadaoin 2 Deireadh Fómhair nuair a bheidh Traein Mhór an Cheoil stoptha sa chathair.

Beidh clúdach cuimsitheach ar chláracha spóirt na seirbhíse ar na craobhacha sinsir agus mionúr sa pheil agus san iománaíocht, peil na mban agus camógaíocht san áireamh, agus clúdach ar chraobhacha peile na Gaillimhe, Dhún na nGall agus Chiarraí. Beidh anailís agus díospóireacht ar scéalta spóirt an deireadh seachtaine le cloisteáil ar Spórt an Luain le Dara Ó Cinnéide go deireadh na craoibhe.

Fillfidh Clár Raidió PPI na Bliana 2012 Rónán Beo @3 do shéasúr eile le Rí na Siamsaíochta Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí sa chathaoir. Beidh Cormac ag a Cúig, Clár Raidió na Bliana 2013 ag Gradaim Chumarsáide an Oireachtais, ag filleadh freisin le tuairisciú, plé, díospóireacht agus anailís ar scéalta nuachta an lae gach tráthnóna.

RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta’s autumn schedule kicks off on 9 September and sees the return to air of some of the station’s flagship programmes including Rónán Beo @3 and Cormac ag a Cúig, as well as the addition of new shows, including a brand new series featuring young traditional musicians from all over the country.

Mol an Óige is a special series on Sundays at 6.30 pm featuring young traditional musicians from Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann branches throughout the country, and other music schools. The programmes, presented by Neansaí Ní Choisdealbha, will showcase some of the wonderful traditional music talent in the next generation of musicians in Ireland.

Timpeall an Tí with Tomás Mistéal makes a welcome return to the schedule following a break of a few years. The programme features field recordings from throughout Munster recorded at festivals, concerts and other events throughout the province, and can be heard on Saturdays at 7 pm.

A new series of Gaol Gairid starts in October, and will feature an interview each week with close friends or family members, presented by RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta’s Dublin team. Politician Eamon Ó Cuív and his son Eamon Óg, writer and poet Gabriel Rosenstock and his son Tristan, and broadcasters Ian Lee and Brian Mullen will be amongst those interviewed in the series.

An Leithinis, Saturdays 6.30 pm, is a six programme series about the history and folklore of the Mullet Peninsula in Mayo presented by Seán Ó Héalaí. Local historian Pádraig S. Ó Murchú will be our guide, bringing us on a tour of the Peninsula. The series has been funded by the BAI Sound and Vision Scheme.

Splancscéalta is a new series starting in October featuring new flash fiction from a host of Irish writers including Máire Mhac an tSaoi, Biddy Jenkinson, Alan Titley, Micheál Ó Conghaile and Manchán Magan.

As part of RTÉ Big Music Week from 30 September to 4 October, RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta will be broadcasting the Rónán Beo @3 show live from Eyre Square in Galway on Wed 2 October when the Big Music Train comes to town.

Sports programming will include full coverage of All-Ireland senior and minor football and hurling championships, including Ladies Football and Camogie, and coverage of regional championships in Kerry, Donegal and Galway. Monday sports programme Spórt an Luain with Dara Ó Cinnéide remains on air for analysis of all weekend sports stories until the end of the championship.

PPI Irish-language programme of the Year 2012 Rónán Beo@3 returns to the air. The light entertainment programme includes a mix of music, chat and interviews, and Rónán Mac Aodha Bhuí’s unique style of presenting is a key element in the show’s success. Cormac ag a Cúig current affairs magazine, winner of Radio Programme of the Year at the Oireachtas Media Awards 2013, will return with debate, discussion and analysis of the day’s main stories every weekday evening.
