RnaG beo i Lanzarote

Bhí an t-ádh le Rory Gallagher go raibh beirt as Gaeltacht Thír Chonaill sa bheár aige Dé Sathairn, nuair ab éigean dó brath ar RnaG leis an gcluiche peile idir Dún na nGall agus Laois a chlúdach mar nach raibh sé ar an teilifís.  Chuidigh Mairéad Ní Dhomhnaill agus Daniel Cannon as Dún Lúiche le Rory, a chum an t-amhrán Jimmy's Winning Matches, aistriúchán a dhéanamh ar thráchtaireacht Shéamuis Mhic Géidigh ar RnaG Dé Sathairn do lucht leanta na peile a bhí sa bheár agus ar bís leis an aicsean uilig ón gcluiche a chloisteáil.

Two Donegal listeners came to the rescue of Donegal and Laois football fans in Rory Gallagher’s bar in Lanzarote on Saturday.  The pub was packed with fans anxious to follow the match, but it was not being televised, and Gallagher, of Jimmy’s Winning Matches fame, stepped up to help out his customers.  With the help of Donegal couple Mairéad Ní Dhomhnaill and Daniel Cannon from Dún Lúiche, who translated the RnaG commentary by Séamus Mac Géidigh, he kept the football fans happy as an impromptu commentator giving scores and updates on the match.
