Last night the Irish Midwives and Nurses Association voted to stage industrial action next month after talks involving union representatives and Health Service Executive management failed to reach agreement. 

From Tuesday March 7thm INMO members will no longer work overtime, will not cover for absent staff and won't redeploy to other pars of their hospitals. And the action could escalate to rolling strikes the week after.

Last night the group held their first public meeting to detail their opposition to the scheme and over 300 persons attended.
