    Ebola Outbreak

    The World Health Organisation is today meeting to discuss the ongoing Ebola crisis in western Africa, and will decide over the next 48 hours if it amounts to an international public health emergency. Joining Keelin in studio to discuss this outbreak is Professor Sam McConkey, head of International Health and Tropical Medicine at the Royal College of Surgeons

    Chury Comet

    Europe's Rosetta spacecraft is expected to rendezvous with one of the strangest objects in the solar system. Rosetta was launched from French Guiana ten years ago with the sole mission of chasing down a huge duck-shaped comet known as Chury. Chury is the size of Mont Blanc, and is travelling through space at a speed of 135,000 kilometres per hour. Science writer Leo Enright is at Mission Control near Frankfurt and joins Keelin

    Vaping - E-cigarettes

    It is estimated that over 50,000 smokers in Ireland have switched from traditional cigarettes to e-cigarettes, which deliver a nicotine hit, without the tobacco. Those in favour of e cigarettes argue they will reduce cancer rates & significantly cut the costs of smoking, while those against warn that it's too early to tell what effects inhaling nicotine through e cigarettes could have long term.     OSCE Search for Bodies in Ukraine

    The search is continuing for the bodies of more than 70 victims of the MH17 airliner, which was shot down in eastern Ukraine almost three weeks ago. Sniffer dogs have now been employed on the search site which spans some 20 square miles. Michael Bociurkiw of the OSCE's Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine joins Keelin

    Humanitarian Crisis

    Two of the most pressing humanitarian crises in the world today are the bombardment of Gaza which has left hundreds of thousands of people without homes, power or water. Meanwhile heavy fighting in eastern Ukraine has caused the displacement of hundreds of thousands of people. Many fear the outbreak of urban warfare in the rebel-held city of Donetsk. John Ging is the director of UN humanitarian operations. He joins Keelin on the line from New York
