As the three women rescued from alleged domestic slavery and servitude in Lambeth, South London continue to receive support and counselling more details have been emerging of the conditions in which these women lived. Some British papers have printed details today of a letter sent by the younger of the three women to a neighbour she had become infatuated with.

Next month David Duffy will mark the second anniversary of his appointment as Chief Executive of AIB. The bank which to date has cost the Irish taxpayer a whopping 21 billion euro. David Duffy came to AIB after a number of senior executive roles at South Africa’s standard bank, Barings and Goldman Sachs. His task back in his native Dublin to stabilise AIB and return it to profitability. so, two years on the bank is still grappling with the mortgage arrears crisis, lending is nowhere near where it was before the economic crisis and not everyone is convinced that the bank will be able to survive without another capital injection. Sean spoke to David Duffy.
D day is Wednesday, 27th November for the filing of property tax on line. So that gives those who haven’t already done so, two days to log on to their computer and let Revenue know how they’re going to pay the tax due. Anjelica Huston is best-known for her performances in Prizzi's Honor, for which she won an Oscar in 1985, The Grifters, The Addams Family, The Royal Tenenbaums and more recently the TV series Smash. Her father, award winning film director John Huston, moved his young family to Ireland in 1953 having falling in love with the scenery on a previous visit.
Her early life was spent mixing with locals, friends and Hollywood stars at her family estate in the west of Ireland. She has just released the first volume of her memoir A Story Lately Told which tells of her early life growing up in Ireland, London and New York before her acting career was launched in Hollywood.

The number of women committed to prison in Ireland has risen by a third in the last three years.
While the total number of prison spaces for women is 133- that's 105 in the Dochas Centre at Mountjoy and 28 in Limerick- the total number of women prisoners in the state is now, according to the Irish Penal Reform Trust, consistently at around 160 to 170.
The problem was highlighted last week in Athlone where Judge Seamus Hughes criticised the release of a woman described as a serial thief who’d been sentenced to six months but was released after just three days. Sean spoke to Paddy O'Gorman who met with The governor of Dochas, Mary O’Connor, and also met with women who have been in prison.
