Charlie Bird:Charlie Bird is heading off to start his new gig as RTE's Washington Correspondent at the end of December. He joined Ryan this morning for a quick chat about his career to date and his hopes for the future.

Cathal O'Shannon: Broadcaster Cathal O'Shannon has had a career which has spanned over 60 years, over that time he covered Winston Churchill's funeral and interviewed Muhammad Ali. He joined Ryan this morning to chat about a documentary 'Telling Tales' which looks back over his career and will be aired on RTE 1 on Monday December 29th at 10.40 pm.

Book Club - Revolutionary Road: Paul Whittington, Karlin Lillington and Lisa O'Hara joined Ryan this morning to review ' Revolutionary Road' by Richard Yates. The winning book reviewer was Evelyn Walsh from Swords.

Aladdin: Ireland's own Sandy Dee singer Susan McFadden joined Ryan this morning for a chat. Susan is currently in Olympia's production of Aladdin which opens tonight.

The Poison Throne: Ryan speaks to Author Celine Kiernan about her book 'The Poison Throne' which has been just been published.

Eimear Quinn kicked off the show with 'Oh Holy Night' and chats to Ryan about her upcoming tv appearance 'A Christmas Celebration with Eimear Quinn' which will be broadcast on RTE 1 on Monday 22nd December 2008 at 10.30 pm

Ryan chats to the Gary Cooke and Malachy McKenna, the writers and stars of a new play called MacBecks which is a new musical based on Goldenballs and his glamorous missus. MacBecks opens Wednesday 14th January 2009 in the Olympia Dublin until the 31st of January and then it off to the Cork Opera House from the 3rd of February for two weeks and tickets from www.ticketmaster.ie.

Nicole Cahill: This morning Ryan spoke to Nicole Cahill, a young girl who proved the medical experts wrong. After six months of intensive treatment in the US, the 10-year-old took a few steps on Irish soil, her first for more than four years.

Maureen Potter: Following on from yesterdatys story of Maureen Potter dancing for Hitler in the La Scala Ballroom in Berlin we delved into the archives to play an interview of Maureen talking about this unusual expereince.

Children's Broadcasting:RTE Junior has been launched this week, the only station in the country just for kids! So today children's broadcasting over the years was the topic of conversation. From Zig and Zag to Wanderly Wagon. Joining Ryan this morning were Mary Kingston, Kevin O'Connell - a voice you'll remember from The Late Late Toy Show and Eithne Hand, the woman behind RTE Junior.

Palestrina Choir: This morning 25 boys from the Palestrina choir joined us to sing "The First Noel" and "I Saw Three Ships".

House Sharing: Most of us have done it as some stage in our lives but does there come a time when you should no longer be sharing a flat? Leitrim man Paddy McKenna, and the woman who's been living with the stars, Lucy Kennedy share their experiences.

Organ Donation: Anne and Brian O'Byrne joined Ryan this morning to tell him how they made the very difficult decision to donate their baby daughter Emma's organs after her death. Anne has amde the decision to promote organ donation. She recorded a Christmas card CD with 3 songs on it. The CD was launched at the "Gift of Life Concert" she organised back in November. As well as encouraging people to donate their organs all monies raised from the CD are going towards the establishment of Ireland's first children's hospice, The Lauralynn House. Mary Robinson documentary: RTE Reporter, Roisin Duffy joins Ryan to chat about a Mary Robinson documentary which is being broadcast on RTE One Sunday, Dec 7th at 9.30pm.The documentary essentially charts what she has been doing since she left the Aras back in 1997 and is being broadcast to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the UN Declaration of Human Rights, signed on December 10th in 1948.
