Mary Harney's Blow Dry: There's a lot of fuss today about Mary Harney's hair and talk of a bill of $410, hairdresser Robert Chambers tells Ryan how much it costs for a woman to maintain her crowning glory in Ireland.

U.S Ambassador: It's Thanksgiving Day today in the Sates and outgoing American Ambassador Tom Foley joins Ryan to celebrate this special date in the U.S.

The I.T Crowd: On Monday night in New York, the tv show The I.T Crowd, Garaham Linehan's latest creation won an Emmy. Ryan spoke to Graham to congratulate him on yet another creative success.

Men and Kids: Bad story after story has meant that it's becoming much harder for the average man to feel comfortable doing such things. So what are we meant to do? Take them and feel uncomfortable, or become hyper paranoid? Joining Ryan to discuss this were Dad and Youth Worker Paul Brady and Francis Chance from Barnardos.

Goal Calendar: Earlier in the year five of Ireland's top photographers travelled to GOAL operations across the Developing World to document the work of the organisation. The best of their photos have been collected in the GOAL Calendar 2009, which is available now. Photogrpahers Jerry Kennelly and Alan Betson join Ryan to share their experiences.

Dragons Den: The Irish Version of Dragons Den is starting on RTE One in 2009 and this morning Ryan is joined by three of the Dragons: Sarah Newman of Newmac Equity , Bobby Kerr, CEO of Insomnia and Niall O'Farrell, Black Tie founder and owner.

Young Carer of the Year: Over the weekend the Royal Hospital in Kilmainham was the venue for the Carer Of the Year Awards which were organised by the Carer's Association. Over 1,000 people were nominated and the Young Carer of the Year award went to Mary Condon O'Connor from Cahir In Co Tipperary. Ryan spoke to Mary and her mother Mary about looking after after her autistic sister Aine.

Australia: A new film about Australia is on its way over here soon. It's an all-out Australian production - starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman and being directed by fellow Australian Baz Luhrman Luhrman. Today Ryan is joined by two Auzzies Hugh Templeman and Christine Monk, and Dr Ruan O Donnell, from the University of Limerick to find out a bit more about Australia and also to discover what exactly are the links between Ireland and Australia.

Middle Class Recession: During these straightened times, protestors have clashed over the handling of the financial crisis. Whether it's the boat, or the cleaner, t's a middle-class nightmare.

Return of Top of the Pops: The BBC have changed their minds and decided to bring back Top of the Pops for Christmas. it will return for two one-off shows over Christmas - Christmas Day and New Year's Eve. Ryan talks to Sir Jimmy Saville about being the first Top of the Pops presenter.

Grumpy Old Men: Brian Cowen has been getting slack for his grumpiness recently. But why do older men get such a hard time for being grumpy? Ryan is joined by broadcaster Eamon Dunphy and Senator shane Ross and puts this question to them.

Jonathon Powell: For 12 years Jonathan Powell was an integral member of the Downing Street family, having been hand-picked by Tony Blair as one of his chief advisors and serving as Chief of Staff. From everything from brokering a peace deal in Northern Ireland, to entertaining the Priminsters son Leo, he has been described as Blair's closest political aide.

Fascination with Prisons: US President-elect Barack Obama has said he intends to shut down the US detention camp at Guantanamo Bay when he assumes office in January. Ryan questions our fascination with prisons and is joined by Tim Carey, historian, former prison officer Philip Bray and security analyst Tom Clonan who visited Guantanamo Bay.

TV Nostalgia: November 21st is World TV Day- a special day to encourage global exchanges of television programmes, focusing on issues such as peace, security, economic and social development, and the enhancement of cultural exchanges. With that in mind Ryan takes a look at the TV shows that we wish we could bring back and is joined by RTE's Tara Loughrey Grant and Pat Fitzpatrick from The Sunday Independent.

Irish Surgeons and Surgery: Maurice Nelligan one of the pioneers of heart surgery in Ireland and Barry O'Donnell consultant surgeon and author of a new book 'Irish Surgeons and Surgery in the Twentieth Century' join Ryan to discuss how surgeons are viewed in contemporary Ireland.

Kennedy's Cadets: 45 years ago on Saturday, news broke around the world of the death of a much loved and admired leader, the 35th President of the U.S. John F.Kennedy. 26 men from Ireland were drafted in to represent the Irish people at the his graveside. Michael McDonagh was one of those men and he joins Ryan to chat about the tv show Kennedy's Cadets, which will be broadcast at 09.30 pm tonight on TG4 for the series Anamnocht, and it retells the story with many of the eyewitness accounts from the 26 cadets.

Book Club: The book of the month for our November book club is With My Lazy Eye by Julia Kelly, an award winning book about adolescence and growing up in the 80's and a tumultuous father-daughter relationship. The author Julia Kelly joined Ryan this morning to give some background to the book.

Tales of War: Military historian Dr. David Murphy of NUI Maynooth and war nut Joe O'Shea review Charge: The Interesting Bits of Military History by Justin Pollard.

Dr. David Murphy will be speaking at a conference called The Irish and War this weekend in Trinity College organised by their school of English and The Military History Society of Ireland.
