When Dubliner Evelyn O'Rourke finished school she wandered around Trinity studying Drama and English (1990 -1994) before moving West to work in film and television. She escaped back to Dublin when she joined RTÉ Radio in 1998 and she worked with Gay Byrne on his final season on radio. She then moved to The Arts Show with Mike Murphy, and then to Today with Pat Kenny as a reporter.

She jumped ship to work in television for a time, before returning to radio as Ryan Tubridy's first newspaper lady on RTÉ 2fm's Full Irish. Evelyn then began reporting with The Gerry Ryan Show in September 2002 and is now a fan of good food, travel and fine wines! She hates football, swimming in the sea in winter and orienteering.
