Áine's guest tonight is Harry Long, author of the recently-published Walton's Guide to Irish Music.

Sunday, November 27:
Tonight's programme features a concert recorded on Fri. 23 Sept in Cultúrlann na Cille, Gaelscoil na Cille, Ashbourne, Co. Meath. It features 4 musicians who came together to play on the Music Network's Celtic Connections tour. This was a celebration of Celtic traditional music uniting two duos from opposite sides of the Irish Sea - a mixture of Irish and Welsh folk music and song. The Irish musicians were accordionist Josephine Marsh and her regular band-member and mandolin/bouzouki player extraordinaire Declan Corey. The Welsh duo were fiddler Gareth Westacott and melodeon player Guto Dafis, who combine to form the Cardiff-based group Toreth. The Celtic Connections musicians were heard on tour in Ireland in September and in Wales in October.

St. James' Church, Dingle, was the venue for a recent concert to mark the launch of The Arts Council's Deis scheme, which is aimed at encouraging and facilitating the traditional arts community to seek funding from the Arts Council. Tonight's show features highlights from this event.

A new DVD featuring highlights from the popular RTÉ television series Come West Along The Road has just been released and Áine will be talking to the programme's producer Nicholas Carolan on tonight's show.

Páraigín Ní Uallacháin has been best known as a singer and collector of traditional songs, but her new CD, Áilleacht, features newly composed material from the Co. Louth performer and she will be Áine's guest on tonight's show.

Mick Mulcahy and his daughters, Louise and Michelle, from Abbeyfeale, CO. Limerick, will join Áine this week to discuss their new CD, Notes from the Heart.

Traditional singer Barry Gleeson from Dublin has just launched his 2nd solo album, I Heard A Bird At Dawn, and he will be Áine's guest on this week's show.

Ciarán Tourish has been a member of Altan for many years, but the Buncrana-born fiddle player has just released his first solo album, Down The Line, and Ciarán will be Áine's guest on the Late Session this Sunday night.

Sisters Breda and Cora Smyth have travelled the globe with shows such as Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames but they also took some time out to record a duet album and, more recently, to talk to Áine for this Sunday night's Late Session.

Colm Gannon was born and grew up in Boston, but has recently returned to live in his parents' home place of Conamara. The accordeon player has also recorded a CD and will join Áine this Sunday night on The Late Session.

Charlie Lennon will be talking to Áine about the life and music of the late John Gordon, the fiddle player from Co. Fermanagh, whose 1950s recordings have been re-mastered and released on a CD, The Humours of Glendart.

"Waiting for an Echo" is the latest CD from Solas, and the band's Nenagh-based singer, Deirdre Scanlon will join Áine for this week's programme.

Kerry sisters Seosaimhín and Caitlín Ní Bheaglaíoch have released an album of songs learnt during their musical childhood in Corca Dhuibhne and Seosaimhín will join Áine on tonight's show to talk about the recording.

Dublin fiddler Paul O'Shaughnesy and Belfast flute player Harry Bradley have teamed up to record a fine duet album, Born For Sport, and Paul and Harry will be Áine's guests on the Late Session this Sunday night.

Sunday January 16th:
Máire Nic Domhnaill Gairbhí, originally from Roscommon, but living in Dublin for many years, is a researcher of traditional music and its history. She has published three books, the most recent being 'Comhrá na dTonn', a tribute to the great music collectors and composers of past centuries. Máire will be Áine's guest on the Late Session this Sunday night.

TG4's Young Musician of the Year in 2003, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, recently released his debut solo album, Ceol an Ghleanna, and the young Gaoth Dobhair fiddle player will be Áine's guest tonight on the Late Session
