The Business Wins Award

John Recieves his award from Minister Mary Coughlan.
The 2009 David Manley Emerging Entrepreneurs Awards were presented at a ceremony today in the RHA Gallery, Ely Place, Dublin by Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment, Mary Coughlan TD, and Dr. Chris Horn. The Inaugural Media Award was presented to John Murray, presenter of RTÉ Radio 1's The Business. John and the programme team were commended for their dedication and commitment to regular coverage of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurs.
Dr. Chris Horn chaired the judging panel for this award and the other judges were Dr. Thomas Cooney, Director Institute for Minority Entrepreneurship at DIT, Nicola Byrne, founder and Managing Director of 11890.
The Media award was sponsored by TNS Mediamarket whose Managing Director, Dan Halliwell, presented John Murray with the award at lunchtime today. The David Manley Emerging Entrepreneur Awards were established by a group of David Manley's friends in the Dublin Chamber of Commerce to honour his contribution to business and SMEs in his short lifetime.
