A lively mix of entertainment, human interest and lifestyle, presented by John Murray.
Heartbeat of Home Competition - Thursday
To qualify today, we want a laugh – tell us a joke, give us your stand-up routine, but with an American punch line! It doesn’t have to be an original joke, you just have to tell it well.....
(terms & conditions above)
On the line this morning is Pat O'Connell from Cork, to tell us about the surprise invitation to attend a reception in March at Buckingham Palace. It is almost three years since the Queen & Prince Philip met Pat at his fish market stall in Cork.
Dublin author Liz Nugent has been creating something of a stir with her début novel & that may be because her main character is chilling, devious and violent.
The book is titled 'Unravelling Oliver' & Liz joins John in studio this morning.
Yesterday we spoke to writer Angela Neustatter, author of 'The Year I Turn...A Quirky Guide to Aging', who reminded us that age should not define us. On the line to John is Kate King-Roberts, who will be 60 next year & is about to embark on a new career.
The other day we spoke about Lent & about sacrifice. One listener contacts us to tell us about her own plans for Holy Week & it is certainly a challenge! Joining John on the line is Linda Chambers.
