    3 Sopranos- Gala Performance - Claudia Boyle

    This morning The John Murray Show is delighted to announce that our now annual 3 Sopranos Christmas Gala concert will which takes place at National Concert Hall with RTE National Symphony OrchestraClaudia Boyle who replaces Celine Byrne (who has a prior engagement on that evening) December 19th. Claudia will be joining Regina Nathan & Cara O'Sullivan & Claudia is in studio this morning for a chat & performance.

    Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards - Maggie O'Farrell

    Maggie O'Farrell's latest novel 'Instructions for a Heatwave' is set in the hot summer of 1976. It is the sixth novel from this multi-award winning writer & it's one of six books nominated for our category at the Bord Gais Energy Irish Book Awards. Joining John from a studio in Edinburgh is author Maggie O'Farrell.

    It's 25 years since Billy Stickland, the country's foremost sports photographer, set-up his agency Inpho, with co-founder, James Meehan. They've brought out a collection of their most memorable, iconic photos from the last quarter century & Billy's in our Cork studio to take us through the ones that - once seen - are impossible to forget.

    AIG - All Blacks Competition - Commentary

    Since Monday we have teamed up with AIG - the official insurance partner of the All Blacks. We began on Monday with a €200 daily prize until today & tomorrow the four daily winners will compete to win a priceless "All Blacks experience" for two people from AIG. In studio with John is Michael Corcoran will be the judge of our listeners today as they do their own 'rugby commentary'.
