    The John Murray Show and Saturday Night Show are jointly running a music competition - click here for full detailis.  Emerging musicians are invited to send in their music to the John Murray Show by email.The John Murray Show decides on a shortlist of the 20 best acts.A panel of experts will reduce the field from 20 to six.

    These six are all played (pre-recorded) on the John Murray Show in a semi-final on Friday, May 16, where the top three are decided by a panel on that show.

    The final three then play live in Studio 8 in the John Murray Show final on Thursday, May 29.The overall winner plays again on the Saturday Night Show on Saturday, May 31. Please ensure the soloist and/or band members are available for these key dates.

    The Kilteevan Gathering & return of Head of CIA

    The Head of CIA, John Brennan was among guests at a Gathering event in Kilteevan, Co. Roscommon, last night. Along with his 93 year old father Owen, he attended a special homecoming for people from the village & those who had left it to go elsewhere. Joining Kathryn on the line are Eileen Fahy, Chairperson Kilteevan Group, B&B owner Mary Gleeson & Pete Gillooly, St Josephs GAA.

    Meath Girl speaks about attack in New York

    One year ago on a July night on Katonah Avenue in New York 21 year old Alisha Jordan from Meath was walking home from a night out when her life was changed forever.  She was brutally attacked by a man with a brick & had to receive skull & facial surgery. From having 10 metal plates in her head & a paralysing fear of going out in public the plucky Meath woman has just Captained the Cavan team to success & joins Kathyrn on the line this morning
