The John Murray Show Thursday 18 July 2013
A lively mix of entertainment, human interest and lifestyle features with Miriam O'Callaghan.
While the weather has been fantastic & with great weather we've got a lot of cyclists taking to the roads, which is a good way to get from A to B and to stay healthy too! But interesting news this morning as cyclists will face on-the-spot fines for road offences. Miriam is joined on the line by Tina Koumarianos, Social Editor of Image Magazine, who has recently written an article on annoying cyclists!
As you know we regularly chat to our guests about the songs that are the soundtrack to their lives & this morning Miriam is joined in studio with sports legend Paul O'Connell, before we get to those songs, we play a clip of some of the highlights of Paul's fantastic career.
Earlier in the programme, Tina Koumarianos spoke to me welcoming the new on-the-spot fines for cyclists in breach of regulations & we have had a huge response from listeners both agreeing & disagreeing with her. Joinging Miriam on the line is cyclist from Cork, Patrick Murnane.
We're fast approaching the August Bank Holiday Weekend & the finale of our Castlepalooza competition. This morning we play the 7th of ten acts who will appear on our stage. They are called the Yips & the song is 'You See Me'.
