The sex lives of people with intellectual disability is a topic rarely discussed & almost never depicted on screen or on stage. Society seems to prefer to imagine that they simply dont exist. A play currently in the Galway Festival aims to change all that. Petal Pilley is the Director of the play 'The Sanctuary' & joins Miriam in studio along with lead female actor Charlene Kelly& lead male actor Kieran Coppinger, who has Down's Syndrome.

The tv programme follows the activities of a controversial & combative campaign against Japanese whalers. On the line to Miriam, is Patrick O'Donoghue, a young helicopter pilot from Kerry who is one of the stars of the new series.
