    Mornings with Dave Fanning Search for Ireland’s Most Musical Family

    Brothers, sisters, cousins, in-laws, step fathers, grannies – the show is looking for families that play together to enter the competition. Non family members are permitted – as long as family is at the heart of it – as with The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem and The Fureys and Davey Arthur.

    Send us a 4’00 maximum clip performing the song or music of your choice – it does not need to be an original piece of music.

    Upload it to Youtube and email us the link to davefanning@rte.ie.

    You also need to send us a 100 word supporting paragraph telling us your story and why you should be chosen.

    The closing date for entries is 5pm on Wednesday  26th August.

    Our final will be held the first week in September and finalists need to be available then to perform before our judges.

    The judges’ decision is final.

    Cork Teenager Joanne O'Riordan

Joanne is only one of seven people in the world who has a syndrome which means she has no limbs, yet she has achieved more than most at 17. She has adressed the UN, taken on the government & became a media sensation. Joanne speaks to Miriam for our studio in Cork.

    In May of this year Marie Casey Breen from Wexford was on the show, telling us about travelling to Austria for Ironman competition.  Well Marie a 61 year old mother of five, a former nurse, a farmer's wife, is back home & now -an Ironman, having competed in the Ironman competition in Austria at the weekend.
