    Mornings with Dave Fanning Search for Ireland’s Most Musical Family

    Brothers, sisters, cousins, in-laws, step fathers, grannies – the show is looking for families that play together to enter the competition. Non family members are permitted – as long as family is at the heart of it – as with The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem and The Fureys and Davey Arthur.

    Send us a 4’00 maximum clip performing the song or music of your choice – it does not need to be an original piece of music.

    Upload it to Youtube and email us the link to davefanning@rte.ie.

    You also need to send us a 100 word supporting paragraph telling us your story and why you should be chosen.

    The closing date for entries is 5pm on Wednesday  26th August.

    Our final will be held the first week in September and finalists need to be available then to perform before our judges.

    The judges’ decision is final.

    Senator David Norris

    Miriam's next guest was at one stage very close to becoming the President of Ireland & then, he wasn't. After a fraught election campaign he went back to his work as a Senator, but he has kept a relatively low profile, Senator David Norris is in studio with Miriam.

    David's autobiography titled 'A Kick against the Pricks' is out in paperback now.

Although they may not have much spare time built into their itinerary, they could do worse than take a look around the border counties. Mark Graham is the man who spent last year going from one festival to another, the more eclectic the better & he’s been taking a look at the leaders & what activities might suit their individual strengths & personalities.
