She's a young singer songwriter, with folk music in her heart & commercial success in the palm of her hand. She's had a number one hit with her cover of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's 'The Power of Love' & now her much talked about debut album is soon to be released, John's first guest this morning is Gabrielle Aplin.
Tomorrow marks the first ever Women's Weightlifting tournament to be held in this country. Between twenty & thirty of the country's strongest women will compete in Cross Fit West Dublin, in Cellbridge. Joining John in studio are two of them, Alex Craig & Sinead Ryan with their coach Harry Leech.
Irish Society for Autism is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year & one of the speakers at the anniversary conference is Dr. Temple Grandin - described as one the most famous autistic women on Earth & a person who revolutionized animal welfare.
As you may have heard in earlier new, Kilkenny hurling manager, Brian Cody has undergone heart surgery, joining John on the line this morning is Kilkenny's Eddie Keher.
Seamus Hyland from Newport, Co Mayo was on his last run, when his bright yellow Brennan's Bread Van was stolen & destroyed just hours before he was due to retire. As Seamus is an agent, the van belongs to him & he tells John this morning that he will face the expense of losing it.
