Clare photographer, David Olsthroorn was shooting a seascape at the Cliffs of Moher, when he came upon a view he wasn't expecting & he joins John on the line from Clare this morning.
Once again, walkers joined us in a beautiful part of Ireland, Glenfarne Co. Leitrim, just south of the border. Among our walkers chef Neven Maguire, Charlie McGettigan, Eleanor Shanley, & liver transplant recipient, Maeve McGivern, plus a very important person, 91 yr old Josie Clancy.
In the last few of weeks we've played you a piece of tape featuring people we met on the street with conundrums. We have had the cat dilemma, a woman had trust issues with a friend's husband & an atheist couldn't decide whether to go ahead with a daughter's communion. John Bela Reilly went out to the streets to find another conundrum for you.
Well if there's one thing we ARE good at in Ireland, it's running around the country going to football matches, rugby matches & athletics, bringing the family here there & everywhere! Joining John in studio this morning is Thomas D'Arcy who has just published his PhD thesis on this very phenomenon - the Irish sports spectator!
