    Mornings with Dave Fanning Search for Ireland’s Most Musical Family

    Brothers, sisters, cousins, in-laws, step fathers, grannies – the show is looking for families that play together to enter the competition. Non family members are permitted – as long as family is at the heart of it – as with The Clancy Brothers and Tommy Makem and The Fureys and Davey Arthur.

    Send us a 4’00 maximum clip performing the song or music of your choice – it does not need to be an original piece of music.

    Upload it to Youtube and email us the link to davefanning@rte.ie.

    You also need to send us a 100 word supporting paragraph telling us your story and why you should be chosen.

    The closing date for entries is 5pm on Wednesday  26th August.

    Our final will be held the first week in September and finalists need to be available then to perform before our judges.

    The judges’ decision is final.

Jurgen came to Ireland in early 1980's & ended up settling in Ireland. First on the line to John we have Rebecca Mattes from Stuttgart, who is spending time in Ireland.

    Talented traveller sisters Mary & Kathleen Keenan are Clare & they joins us from our Limerick studio for a chat & performance. Mary won her first singing competition aged just 7-years-old. They have since shared the stage with some great acts including The Hothouse Flowers, Finbar Furey & Glen Hansard.
