A lively mix of topical stories, human interest and lifestyle features with John Murray
Pope John Paul II was the first Pope ever to have set foot in Ireland, September 1979 & a specially designed vehicle was made to transport him, which was christened the 'Popemobile'. It subsequently was offered to the National Wax Museum & Paddy Dunning is on the line to John to tell us what became of it!
One of the musical highlights of the year is undoubtedly the recording of 'Other Voices', a unique musical event which takes place in St. James Church, Dingle, Co Kerry, December 1st, 2nd & 3rd & Philip King is on the line to John to tell us more about.
In studio with John are three listeners who got in touch with the programme saying to want to learn how to swim. The three ladies Mary Mooney from Rush, Maeve Foley & her friend Bernie Caulfield from Celbridge, Co. Kildare are also joined by their swimming teacher, Evelyn McFadden.
A tumble dryer, cheap to run, folds away easily, can be controlled by smaprt phone & will iron your clothes, a product that sounds too good to be true! In studio with John are Finbarr Maguire & David Ronan, of PurOrigin, who scooped the prestigious Nova UCD 2012 Start-Up Award.
