    Operation Transformation in Assoc with Safefood

    We are into week one of Operation Transformation in association with Safefood.   Professor Donal O’Shea is involved once again – Donal is an endocrinologist & one of Ireland’s foremost experts on obesity & he’s joining forces this morning with a man who is well-known to Irish sports fans – former Ireland rugby captain Keith Wood, who is now the head of a relatively new organisation called Healthy Ireland.

    In association with Healthy Ireland and the Irish Pharmacy Union, Operation Transformation www.rte.ie/ot are inviting you to come & find out your numbers this Saturday 10th Jan. You can call into one of our 7 measurement centres between 10 -12pm.

    Sportslink Santry & Operation Transformation

    Welcome to Sportslink in Santry in Dublin  this morning as we meet the Operation Transformation experts in the presence of 19 nervous men & women who want to lead the nation in Operation Transformation in association with Safefood.

    John speaks to Kathryn Thomas, experts dietician Aoife Hearne, GP Dr Ciara Kelly, fitness expert Karl Henry & psychologist Dr. Eddie Murphy.

    Operation Transformation 2015

    The search is on to find volunteers to participate in RTE's Operation Transformation 2015 & this morning we speak to another hopeful Elissa Whelan, from Ratoath in Co. Meath.

    Anyone interested in applying needs to get their applications in ASAP.  They can apply at www.rte.ie/ot or call Daisy & Roisin on 01.864.1444.

    Applications close on Tuesday November 4th - there have been more applications this year than before - so the sooner they get in the better.

    Call Out - Operation Transformation 2015

    The search is on find volunteers to participate in RTE’s Operation Transformation 2015 & the chosen few will have to radically change their eating patterns, exercises &  be prepared to inspire RTÉ viewers & d listeners to follow them on their journey over eight weeks in January and February 2015.

    And the John Murray Show will  follow the leaders' journeys all the way to the grand finale in February 2015. On the line to John this morning are a couple of hopeful’s, Darren O’Rourke a forklift driver from Dublin & Kelly Moore from Enniscorthy who works in a bar/restaurant join me now .

    In tonights Operation Transformation in assoc with Safefood, leader Paudie get some help with his fitness regime from a man who is an example to all those who believe age is a barrier to fitness. Former Tyrone county footballer, Patsy Forbes at aged 71, is the second fastest septugenarian in the world & he joins John on the line this morning.
