    This morning we have a special edition of The John Murray Show, in Eason's in Dundrum Town Centre, launching our 'Murray Christmas 2' CD supporting Aware Depression Support.

    It features a beautiful array of music and really does capture the spirit of Christmas past and present in Ireland.  It includes some classic favourites like “Stop The Cavalry” by the Riptide Movement, “Happy Christmas War Is Over” by Damien Dempsey, &  “O Holy Night” by Eimear Quinn.

    We also bring you a range of specially written original tracks – covering contemporary, traditional and classical music – and the magic ingredient they all share is the exquisite presence of the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

    Soprano Celine Byrne performance

    In studio with John is soprano Celine Byrne who is going to give us a treat with a performance of Un Bel Di Vedremo (One Fine Day) from Madame Butterfly by Puccini.

    The Moscow State Opera proudly presents Madame Butterfly, starring Ireland's International Top Sopreno, Celine Byrne at the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in 2015 - April 22 to 26.


    Music from skiffle band The Craze

    The award winning show One Man, Two Guvnors opened at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre in Dublin yesterday & will run until Saturday 22nd November.   It features original music from The Craze & they join John in studio for a chat & performance.

    John's next musical guest this morning celebrates her recently acquired Irish citizenship with her new EP 'Apple' & she sings a song from it called 'Hello'.  Cathryn Green performs in studio this morning.


    Music with Barry Tierney

    John's next guest won an international song writing contest at the age of 19 & one of the judges was the late Robin Gibbs of the Bee Gees, who paid the recording of the winning song 'The Rocketboy'. Six years on Barry now releases a new album 'Hotel Alamar' & here he performs one of those songs from the album called 'Rosie Ale of England'.

    Music & Chat - Nigel Connell

    John's next guest is a Co Meath drummer & singer Nigel Connell who has played support with some of the legendary names on the American music country scene & morel recently Nigel joined Daniel O'Donnells band as his drummer & backing vocalist on a world tour.

    His new CD will be called Washed in the River - to be released next year - 2015.

    Music played 'Washed in the River' with Athboy Gospel Choir with special guest Margot Daly & 'Down By the Mountain' with Nigel's band.
