Rock Guitarist Mark Knopfler

One of the most well-known rock guitarists of all time, Mark Knopfler rose to fame as the driving force behind British rock band Dire Straits, notching up record sales in excess of 120 million. 

Mark also has composed the scores for big moives & collaborated with some of the biggest names in music from Bob Dylan to Eric Clapton to Van Morrison.  Mark joins John to talk about his career & the release of his 8th solo album in March, entitled 'Tracker'.

Julie Feeney

Julie Feeney has always believed in magic and she has always brought a little bit of that magic to her stage shows... now, she's taking it to another level with a show called The Girl Who Believed in Magic that she will perform in The Project Arts Centre from March 28th. It contains all her own music and a loose narrative to go with it. If you haven't already heard of Pete Kennedy, the chances are you soon will because since leaving Offaly & heading to the Mecca of country music in Tennessee last July, things have really taken off for him. The Midnight Union Band

The Midnight Union are a band from Kilkenny whose sound is described as a blend of Americana folk, Rhythm and Roots and Blues with an alternative-country twist and a sprinkling of old school rock n' roll.

Their début album is called “Of Life and Lesser Evils” and they’ll be launching it in Whelan's in Dublin tomorrow night with guests In The Willows & The Rattling Kind

The Special Consensus - Bluegrass Tribute to John Denver

Country music singer songwriter John Denver was one of the most popular acoustic artists of the 1970's & one of its best-selling artists. Joining John in studio are Special Consensus, a Grammy nominated Bluegrass Band who have been playing together since they formed in Chicago in 1975.
