    Music & Chat with Ron Pope

    In studio with John is American pop/rock singer-songwriter Ron Pope. In 2005 he wrote the internet hit 'A Drop in the Ocean' with Zach Berkman, which led Pope pursuing a career as a solo artist.

    Ron will be playing: Mandella Hall, Belfast - Saturday 1st February & Vicar Street, Dublin - Sunday 2nd February.

    Aled Jones

    His voice has become a part of our lives since we first heard it in 1985 & when he sang one of the most memorable songs 'Walking In The Air'. It is Aled Jones & he has enjoyed continued success ever sinc.  He still sings, is a familiar presence on the radio and TV & he will be performing in Dublin soon! Aled Jones joins John from a studio in UK.

    Chat & performance with Jarlath Tinvan (fiddle) & brother Conor (concertina)

    In studio with John this morning is 23 year old Jarlath Tinvan, who is quietly making a name for himself on the Irish Theatre circuit but his talents are not exclusive to acting. An accomplished traditional musician, he is joined by his brother Conor to play a few reels & to tell us about his role in Martin McDonagh's play 'A Skull in Connemara' as Mairtin Hanlon.

    You can see Jarlath Tivnan in 'A Skull in Connemara' which runs all this week until February 2nd, in the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin.

    Music & Chat - Johnny Duhan

    Johnny Duhan joins John in studio now, a career spanning 40 years his greatest achievement is a quartet of epic albums, Just antoher Town, To The Light, The Voyage & Flame - which correspond to the four chapters of his lyrical autobiography, To The Light.   Johnny will perform a couple of songs in studio.

    Johnny will be playing Saint Werburgh’s Church tomorrow night at 8pm, for the Temple Bar Tradfest The Triskel in Cork on the 21st of March.

    Music & Chat with Zervas & Pepper

    Zervas & Pepper is an exotic sounding name for a music duo of, Kathryn Pepper and Paul Zervas. When you hear the duo you'll think of Californian sunshine & beautiful 60s harmonies. Joining John in studio for a chat & performance are Paul & Kathryn.

    Their second album is called Lifebringer - gig at The Sugar Club on Thursday, 23rd January 2014.

    American country singer/songwriter Garth Brooks

    He is a man who holds a very special place in Irish hearts & he has been badly missed since he last came here 17 years ago. Garth Brooks is set to make a massive comeback when he arrives in Dublin in July for two shows at Croke Park. John had the great pleasure of meeting Garth yesterday in those very grounds.

    Julio Iglesias has sold hundreds of millions of records, received countless awards & wooed legions of devoted female fans all over the world for the last 5 decades. Julio Iglesias will be performing in Dublin in May & he joins John on the line this morning.

    Finbar Wright - Music & Chat

    Miriam's first guest this morning is regarded as one of our greatest romantic singers. He is also a celebrated tenor and has toured the world as part of the hugely successful Irish Tenors group. Next month he will be performing some of Pavarotti's best loved songs in a number of venues around the country. Finbar Wright joins Miriam in studio.

    The 4 of Us - music & chat

    In the new year it will be 25 years since Newry band The 4 of Us, burst on to the scene with the album 'Songs for the Tempted'. Brendan & Declan Murphy are marking the anniversary with a gig in Dublin's Vicar Street in March & this morning they join John in studio for a performance & chat.
