With the release of the new Great Gatsby film next week, Miriam is joined in studio with author Cathy Kelly & The Cotton Club Quartet. The Great Gatsby fever is heading our way & author Cathy will be giving us a Bluffer’s Guide to The Great Gatsby, while we have a little of the 1920s music from The Cotton Club Quartet
Earlier this week our four finalists gathered the the NCH to meet the three sopranos & the orchestra. Soprano Celine Byrne metored garage service manager, Padraig Connaughton from Galway, Regina Nathan offered her advice to Garda Sean O'Mahony, originally from Limerich but now living in Athy. Cara O'Sullivan mentored both Lorraine Melia, Castleknock, Dublin & Wendy Thibault from Wicklow. To bring the day to a close, all seven singers took to the stage to sing O Sole Mio for the very first time along with RTE Symphony Orchestra, conducted by John Finucane.

This morning we bring news of a first ever tour as the show joins forces with the RTE Symphony Orchestra & our three wonderful sopranos, Celine Byrne, Cara O'Sullivan & Regina Nathan will be taking to the road & they join John in studio this morning.
This summer from Wednesday June 5th to Saturday June 8th, The John Murray Show will be travelling to four venues, Galway, Limerick, Cork & Waterford for an evening of orchestral & operatic favourites. Ten years ago Irish musician Nina Hynes achieved chitical acclaim with her album, Staros. Since then she has emigrated to Berlin but is back this week to perform with Dancing Suns on Sat 13th April at the Peppercanister Church, Dublin 2.
