That Wonder Place

This is a drama set in and around Rosslare. It concerns the adventures of pre-teen girl called Lily, whose father is a long-distance lorry driver hauling everything and anything across Europe. Lily is the apple of his eye and she keeps in regular contact with him by mobile phone. Her best friend Ben may be leaving the school to move back to Dublin, as his dad is seeking work there. And then there is Kelly Marshall, the bane of her life who constantly tries to upstage and embarrass her in school.

Lilly keeps having dreams that upset her. Is it because her dad is about to head off on another journey to Eastern Europe? Is it because she can't sleep properly with her baby brother constantly crying? Or could there be another reason? Her life changes dramatically when she opens the back of a container truck in the Rosslare ferry port. That Wonder Place is a fast-paced drama in four parts that is aimed at teenagers but which will appeal to all ages.
