Exclusive interview with Michael Smurfit

As he approaches his 70th birthday, renowned businessman Michael Smurfit talks to presenter Susan McReynolds in an in-depth hour-long interview about his love of horse racing, the upcoming Ryder Cup, his business ventures, turning seventy years old, his recent knighthood and his involvement with Turning the Tide.

RTÉ Radio 1 presenter Susan McReynolds and her team travelled from Dublin to Galway to meet Michael Smurfit and recorded the interview with him at RTÉ Raidió na Gaeltachta's studios in Casla, Co. Galway, where Smurfit arrived by helicopter before going to the Galway Races.

The interview will be broadcast on RTÉ Radio 1's, Saturday with Susan McReynolds (5 August) at approximately 11:03am.
