    Bishop of Meath and Kildare Pat Storey

     There is but a small community of female bishops in the worldwide Anglican Community – 27 to be exact and none at all in Britain – but here, the Church of Ireland has made its mark on integrating women into their hierarchy by recently ordaining my next guest as Bishop of Meath and Kildare.  The Most Reverend Pat Storey made the move from Derry to Maynooth late last year to take up her new position. She joined Sean in studio.

    Just over two weeks since large areas of Limerick City witnessed unprecedented flooding, there is growing anger at the lack of a coherent strategy to help locals put their lives back together.  Brian O’Connell reported from the St Marys Park area in the immediate aftermath of the flooding, and he returned this weekend to see what progress has been made in helping those most affected. Brian joined Sean from the Cork studio.

    The controversy over allegations of bugging at the offices of the Garda Ombudsman smouldered on over the weekend. This week Justice Minister Alan Shatter will face an Oireachtas committee to clarify his position. Minister for Trade and Development Joe Costello said once the committee presents its report into the matter, a decision can then be taken on how best to proceed. Tom Clonan, security expert and Irish Times columnist talked to Sean.
