Adoptions to America
The Liveline listeners discuss the practice of Irish babies being brought to the United States for adoption in the 1950’s and 60’s. Annes brother was a seminarian. He was offered a free flight to America if he brought a baby intended for adoption. Susan is the co-founder of the Adoption Rights Alliance. She says that in many cases the families in America weren’t vetted.
