This week, the news was dominated by an outpouring of sympathy for the family of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe who was murdered in a credit raid outside Dundalk. Also the Minister for Justice proceeded with the closure of 95 garda stations. Gerry Adams has apologised to the family of Detective Garda Jerry McCabe who was shot and killed by the IRA in Adare in 1996.
