    Jacinta called Liveline to tell listeners that she was upset by a recent experience on a flight from the Canaries. A woman who was sitting beside her went to the toilet and when she returned , the airline staff came and asked all of the passengers in the aisle who had been smoking? Jacinta was upset at having been asked, when she hadn't even left her seat. Other callers told similar stories of smokers on planes.

John is sick of people approaching him and telling him to stop smoking when he’s using his electronic cigarette.     Smoking ban

    The proposed new legislation, which will ban smoking in cars where there are children, was discussed on Liveline today . Dr Luke Clancy from ASH and John Mallon from the pro smoking lobby group Forest Ireland debated the issues involved. Dr Clancy feels the legislation doesn't go far enough , and that smoking in cars should be banned regardless of the presence of children. Most callers were of the opinion that legislation was a good thiing although one caller , Brian said that he felt legislation could end up going to far .
