    The Personal Insolvency bill passed all stages of the Oireachtas last night, clearing the way for reform of the country’s bankruptcy laws. The new regulations, to be enacted before the end of the year, are meant to assist distressed debtors and those in mortgage arrears. The legislation reduces the period of insolvency from 12 to three years and allows debts of up to €3 million be written off.But will the banks play ball?
