Palliative Care
There are many challenges facing patients and families living with serious illness. In order to address some of their concerns, a guide to palliative care DVD is being launched today at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham. It’s specifically designed to inform patients and their families about specialist care services provided in St. James Hospital and Our Lady’s Hospice. Joining Pat in studio were Dr. Norma O’Leary, Consultant in Palliative Medicine, St. James’ Hospital, Catriona Corcoran, clinical nurse who specialises in Palliative care and Nora Gahan whose sister Helen spent her final years in palliative care.
