    Mount Carmel

    The last baby is due to be born today in Mount Carmel Maternity Hospital in Dublin. Three hundred nursing and other staff will lose their jobs at the private hospital  - which first opened  its doors in August 22nd  1949 . The hospital went into liquidation last Friday and is soon due to close completely. Union efforts to keep the facility open have so far fallen on deaf ears. Our reporter Valerie Cox was there.
